In addition to the criteria above, resource selections are also made based on:

• Scholarly merit of the author and/or journal including consideration of relevant peer reviews;
• Currency of information;
• Accuracy of information;
• Availability and technical accessibility;
• Uniqueness of information as it contributes to and expands upon the existing research in the collection’s designated subject areas.

Given the limited space and financial resources of the Dr. J CCSA Collection, multiple copies of resources are generally not maintained. Exceptions will be made for titles available in English, Spanish, and tribal languages, as well as titles available in English and Braille.
